Fashion Week-Day 4-Cynthia Rowley Runway Show

14 Sep

Fashion Week-Day 4-Cynthia Rowley Runway Show

We had the dutiful honor of being guests at the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2011 runway show and take in her new ready to wear collection Saturday at Lincoln Center…The collection was a mad dash of clean lines with beautiful pastel colors-irredescent white, bright yellow, and a shimmer of pink and red! Perfect for an afternoon at the park or for a dressed up night out on the town. Striped knitwear, slim-cut chino pants, and shift dresses were all the buzz!..And we must not forget the colorful designs of the platform heels and a little “neck candy” (eccentric giant beaded necklaces) completed the overall look! The shift dresses were classic with holes punched out in the front. The hole punch in the dresses were hot!..ladies don’t be afraid to show a little more skin!
Can we just give a champagne toast and an “amen” to the sweaters, their round colorful medallions and geometric patterns were perfect compliments to the platform heels!…As in the words of Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist, “we died!”

Now a look is not complete without a final touch of the hair! With the professional styling of Wella Professionals, the statuesque models were classic and complete with their hairstyle: a tight chignon and giant hair barrettes shifted over the sleek “do”….with a shimmer of the runway lights, the barrettes added just another sense of rarity to the fabulous clothing!…

A little star sighting amongst the fashion crowd: Actress Aisha Tyler, Top Model Judge, Noted Fashion photographer Nigel Barker, and Actress Rebecca Romijn O’Connell!

Check out all the backstage action you missed!….
