Ro2 Art Presents Kevin Lewis Fougerousse: Memoirs

23 Feb

Dallas, TX is proud to welcome former Los Angeles based artist Kevin Lewis Fougerousse, for his first solo show displaying his Neo-expressionist paintings. Enjoy an evening of images drawn from his memories of working as a high fashion model, as well as the surroundings of city streets and desert mountainous landscapes that captivate the beautiful California scenery.

Kevin passionately composes his compositions by giving his viewers an unfiltered look into the rawest places of his psyche. His unorthodox perception of the world makes his translation into subjects of intriguing beauty!

His work will be featured from March 4 – 29, 2011, beginning with an opening reception on Friday, March 4th from 7-10 p.m.

Event Details:

Date: March 4-29, 2011

Giddy Over the Grammys’

What a Sunday night it was for the artists on display at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards! A little music from the best of the best and fashion by the elite of designers, made this Grammy night one to remember!

After her unforgettable Superbowl singing mishap, Christina Aguilera blew the doors off the Staples Center, giving a stunningly strong performance during the show’s opening tribute to Aretha Franklin. You go girl!

As Lady Gaga hatched from her womb (or was it an egg) carried by men/women clad in fitted gold lame, she emerged to sing her new hit song-Born this Way! A little remininscent of Madonna’s “Express Yourself!”

Outfitted in feather and sequin motif, we throughly enjoyed the duet between Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth with their rendition of “Forget You”

The new song-“The House that Built Me” and top winner of the night by Miranda Lambert was so touching!

We were all about the metallics when it came to the fashion for the evening!

It was Leann Rimes (Reem Acra) vs. Kim Kardashian (Kaufman Franco), hands down Ms. Soon to be Eddie Cibrian!

Heidi Klum in Julien Macdonald…Gorgeous! Bravo!

Selena Gomez in J Mendel…what a beautiful young starlet!!

Check out all the winners!

The Three C’s: Cold, Celebrations, and Celebrities-Super Bowl XLV Weekend

8 Feb

The Three C’s: Cold, Celebrations, and Celebrities-Super Bowl XLV Weekend

Our hometown of Dallas played host to the cold, some good celebrations, and of course some celebrity sightings! Oh and don’t forget the visiting rivals: the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers!

Despite one of the coldest winter snowstorms (in Texas that it is!), oversold stadium seats at Jerry’s World, hailing unavailable cabs, packed restaurants, clubs, and bars, we still managed to have a fabulous time!

With an eventful and packed evening beginning Thursday at the Rosewood Mansion with the live and lovely tunes of Jennifer Baldwin to a packed Rattlesnake Bar with (I’m pretty sure) ex NFL players at the Ritz Carlton! As the snow began to fall, the crowd stayed warm with cocktails and those extra hot heaters! It was a great start to the weekend festivities! Friday night took us to a fabulous dinner with friends at Nick and Sams amongst a great crowd of celebrities including Mark Harmon, Adrian Brody, and that look-a-like Tony Romo! Adrian, your welcome for that glass of Port! Then we hit the Joule Hotel courtesy of Blake Ward, where we entered the PM lounge to the riveting tunes of Cee Lo Green, all while doing a lap and sighting of various A/B listers-Justin Timberlake, the Jonas Brothers, Joanna Garcia, Nick Swisher, Olivia Munn, Jaime Foxx, and some enjoyable convo with Brother and Sister’s David Annabelle and Chase’s Cole Hauser, it was a night to remember! As Saturday took us in opposite directions, we were able to hit the Willie Nelson concert and party at the Palladium Ballroom with an evening filled with his best songs and some backstage entertaining from his son and friend, Lukas Nelson. Thanks again for the bus tour and the great guitar entertainment! Check out his band Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real! After a little savory refueling at Charlie Palmer’s, it was time to venture out! The night didn’t end there where we headed to the Mark Cuban AAC party featuring Usher and DJ Samantha Ronson! With a show of all his favorite tunes and celebrity spottings of Matt Bomer of White Collar and Jake Pavelka and Mike Steinberg of the Bachelor…our night was complete with after concert dancing in company of Dallas and LA friends!

Overall it was a well played game (Yeah for the Packers and MVP-Aaron Rodgers!), the commericals were somewhat funny, and the halftime show consisting of the Black Eyed Peas, Slash (or was it really an impersonator?), and Usher was packed with excitement and a nice old school leap! And no one will forget that awkward (mis-sung the words) of Christina Aguilera with her very own rendition of the National Anthem! Where was Lea Michelle for back up?
